Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Therapist at Kelington Behavioral Services, you will engage in a variety of responsibilities to support our patients in their recovery journey:

• Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed assessments to evaluate patients' personal trauma histories and their specific treatment needs.

• Create and implement individualized treatment plans that focus on trauma recovery, resilience, and coping strategies tailored to each patient's goals.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), in your practice.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, creating a safe space for patients to process their traumas and learn effective coping mechanisms.

• Work collaboratively with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other mental health professionals to provide integrated and holistic care for each patient.

• Offer crisis intervention and immediate support during times of trauma-related emergencies.

• Educate patients and their families on trauma responses and effective coping strategies, empowering them to navigate their recovery journey.

• Maintain accurate and confidential records ensuring compliance with all legal and ethical standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with adults, adolescents, and families struggling with the effects of trauma. Many patients are recovering from events such as domestic violence, accidents, military service, or other distressing experiences. Your expertise will guide them through the complexities of their trauma, assisting them in achieving clarity and resilience.

Qualifications\n

To be considered for this important role, candidates must have:

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or Marriage and Family Therapy from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in New Jersey.
