Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed assessments to evaluate clients' histories and determine appropriate therapeutic interventions.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each client's unique needs, focusing on trauma recovery and resilience strategies.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) during your sessions.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions designed to promote healing, coping strategies, and improved emotional regulation.

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists and social workers, to ensure comprehensive care for clients.

• Provide crisis intervention services as needed to support clients during trauma-related emergencies.

• Educate clients and their families on trauma responses and available resources, enhancing their understanding and coping abilities.

• Maintain meticulous documentation of client sessions and treatment progress in accordance with legal and ethical standards.

• Engage in regular case consultations and team meetings to discuss client progress, share best practices, and participate in ongoing professional development.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a therapist, you will work primarily with adults who have experienced varying degrees of trauma. Our clients often present with PTSD, complex trauma histories, and dissociative disorders. Your role will be critical in creating an affirming space where clients can safely explore their experiences and work toward healing. You will support clients from diverse backgrounds, and your empathetic approach will foster trust and openness.

Qualifications\n

• A master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure as an LMFT, LPC/MHSP, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Tennessee.

• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure clinical experience in mental health counseling, preferably with a focus on trauma.

• Strong knowledge of trauma-related disorders and the impact of trauma on mental health.
\n
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, demonstrating a compassionate and non-judgmental demeanor.

• Ability to manage high-stress situations with composure and professionalism.

• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and proficiency in relevant computer applications.

• Experience working collaboratively in a multidisciplinary setting, contributing to a holistic approach to client care.
