Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive, trauma-informed assessments to gain insight into patients' trauma experiences and develop appropriate treatment strategies.

• Create and implement individualized treatment plans that focus on trauma recovery, resilience building, and personal growth based on specific needs and goals.

• Employ evidence-based therapeutic techniques, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), ensuring an effective therapeutic approach.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions to assist patients in processing their trauma, developing coping mechanisms, and promoting self-healing.

• Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary professionals, including psychiatrists and other mental health specialists, to ensure a holistic approach to patient care.

• Provide immediate crisis intervention support for clients facing trauma-related emergencies and facilitate a safe environment for such discussions.

• Educate patients and their families about the impact of trauma, coping strategies, and available community resources to empower them in their recovery journey.

• Maintain thorough and confidential documentation of all client interactions in compliance with legal and ethical standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this position, you will primarily work with individuals affected by trauma, encompassing a diverse range of experiences and backgrounds. Our client population includes trauma survivors dealing with PTSD, complex trauma, and various dissociative disorders, each requiring a personalized and compassionate approach. Qualifications\n

• A Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in New Jersey.

• Possession of strong knowledge and understanding of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment methodologies.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills that reflect a compassionate, non-judgmental approach to therapy.

• A strong ability to maintain composure and professionalism in high-stress situations.

Preferred Experience\n

• Two years of post-licensure experience providing mental health therapies.

Compensation and Benefits\n
