Key Responsibilities\n

Your day-to-day responsibilities as a Licensed Mental Health Therapist will include:

• Conducting thorough trauma-informed assessments to understand patients' histories and identify suitable therapeutic interventions.

• Developing, implementing, and regularly updating individualized treatment plans aimed at recovery and resilience.

• Providing evidence-based therapies such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) tailored to individual needs.

• Leading both individual and group therapy sessions that help patients process trauma, foster coping strategies, and promote emotional healing.

• Working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, to ensure an integrated care approach.

• Offering support during crisis interventions, specifically addressing trauma-related emergencies.

• Educating patients and their families on trauma responses and coping mechanisms while providing valuable information about available community resources.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will be working primarily with adult and adolescent clients who have experienced various forms of trauma, including abuse, neglect, or significant life disruptions. Your expertise in trauma-informed care will be crucial in helping these individuals navigate their healing journey and build resilience through targeted interventions.

Qualifications\n

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications:

• A master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of New Jersey.

• At least 2 years of post-licensure experience working in a mental health setting, specifically with trauma-focused therapies.

• Strong foundation in trauma-related disorders and familiarity with trauma-informed treatment modalities.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, exhibiting a compassionate, empathetic approach while maintaining professionalism.

• Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and familiarity with teletherapy platforms.

Preferred Experience\n
