Key Responsibilities\n

As a Mental Health Therapist, you will:

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate patients' trauma history and develop appropriate treatment plans.

• Implement individualized treatment plans aimed at promoting trauma recovery and building resilience in patients.

• Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), in both individual and group therapy settings.

• Facilitate group therapy sessions that help patients process their trauma, develop coping strategies, and foster healing.

• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists and interdisciplinary team members to ensure a holistic approach to patient care.

• Provide immediate crisis intervention and support during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring a safe environment for all clients.

• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses, coping mechanisms, and available resources to empower them in their recovery journey.

• Maintain accurate, confidential documentation in compliance with legal standards and ethical practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Qualifications\n

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of New Jersey.

• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience, showcasing competence in working with trauma-related disorders.

• Strong knowledge of trauma-informed treatment modalities, including trauma-focused therapies.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, employing a compassionate approach with patients.

• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and relevant computer applications.

Compensation and Benefits\n
