Work Environment\n

This position is primarily remote, providing the opportunity to work from the comfort of your own space while engaging with clients through teletherapy. Typical working hours are Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments to identify clients' eating disorder symptoms, assess co-occurring mental health conditions, and determine appropriate treatment needs.

• Develop personalized treatment plans that align with assessment findings, while engaging clients in setting and achieving meaningful recovery goals.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, such as Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), to address complex mental health issues.

• Facilitate dynamic therapy sessions aimed at challenging distorted beliefs related to body image, self-worth, and food relationships.
\n
• Guide clients in developing effective coping mechanisms and emotional regulation strategies to manage disordered eating patterns.

• Actively collaborate with our multidisciplinary treatment team, ensuring that all client care is coordinated effectively and that clients' holistic needs are met.

• Provide educational support to clients and their families about eating disorders, enhancing understanding and fostering a nurturing recovery environment.

• Maintain accurate documentation of client progress, treatment protocols, and therapy sessions, adhering to ethical and legal standards.

• Continuously seek professional growth through participation in team meetings and professional training opportunities.

Your primary focus will be on individuals struggling with eating disorders and co-occurring mental health issues. By applying specialized therapeutic techniques, you will support clients in overcoming their challenges, improving their self-image, and fostering healthier food relationships. You will engage with a diverse client base, each facing unique battles, and will play a pivotal role in their recovery journeys.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A valid and current licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT within the state of Tennessee.
\n
• A comprehensive knowledge of evidence-based treatment approaches for eating disorders, with specific training in CBT, DBT, and ACT.

• Strong understanding of the multifaceted nature of eating disorders, including the psychological, physiological, and emotional aspects involved.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to build rapport and trust with clients from various backgrounds.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of two years of post-graduate experience providing mental health counseling, with a focus on eating disorders and related issues.

• Experience working in an outpatient setting, particularly in a team-oriented environment with an emphasis on collaboration and patient-centered care.
