Work Environment\n

This position is primarily remote, allowing for flexible working conditions while ensuring that you have the tools you need to facilitate effective therapy sessions. Working hours are Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with some flexibility to accommodate patient scheduling. Our outpatient office is equipped with advanced technological tools, enabling seamless tracking of patient progress through electronic health record (EHR) systems.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough and culturally sensitive mental health assessments to fully understand each patient's unique experiences and develop personalized treatment plans.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions such as cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, and other modalities tailored to suit individual patient needs.

• Facilitate individual, family, and group therapy sessions, fostering an environment that promotes resilience and overall mental health recovery.

• Collaborate with veterinarians, psychiatrist staff, psychologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a coordinated and comprehensive approach to patient care.

• Provide immediate crisis intervention and support during mental health emergencies, utilizing strong crisis management skills to help stabilize patients in need.

• Educate patients and their families on mental health conditions, treatment options, and community resources available to them, ensuring they feel empowered and informed.

• Maintain accurate, confidential documentation in compliance with all legal and ethical guidelines, ensuring that patient information is secure.

• Engage in case conferences and team meetings, contributing ideas and insights to improve patient care and support cultural competency among the staff.

• Stay updated with current research, best practices, and advancements in therapy and cultural considerations relevant to mental health practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your role will directly impact a diverse patient population, including those from various socio-economic backgrounds and cultural identities. You will contribute to mental health care for individuals facing issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and other psychological challenges. Your ability to deliver compassionate and culturally responsive care will be essential to fostering trust and encouraging patients to engage in their treatment processes.

Qualifications\n

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid license as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in New Jersey.

• In-depth knowledge and understanding of various mental health disorders and evidence-based treatment methodologies, particularly in relation to cultural competence in therapy.

• Demonstrated experience providing individual and group therapy with a culturally responsive approach.
\n
• Strong crisis intervention skills and an ability to remain calm and effective during challenging situations.
\n
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills that foster strong rapport with patients from diverse backgrounds.

• Proficiency in using electronic health record systems and relevant computer applications.
\n
• Commitment to maintaining professional ethics, confidentiality, and adherence to industry standards.

• Ability to function collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, providing diverse perspectives to strengthen patient care.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of two years of applicable clinical experience as a mental health counselor, focusing on diverse patient populations.

• Experience working in outpatient settings and familiarity with remote therapeutic practices.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary range for this position is competitive, approximately USD 70,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
