Key Responsibilities\n

In this role, you will:

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments to gather essential information about clients' trauma histories and their current mental health status.

• Collaborate with clients to develop and implement individualized treatment plans that focus on facilitating healing and promoting resilience.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) to guide sessions.

• Facilitate group therapy sessions and individual therapy sessions, creating a safe space for patients to process their trauma and develop effective coping strategies.

• Work in tandem with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to provide integrated care and ensure holistic treatment for our clients.

• Offer crisis intervention support and psychological first aid in trauma-related emergencies, ensuring patients receive immediate and effective assistance when needed.

• Educate clients and their families about trauma responses and coping mechanisms, empowering them with knowledge and resources for healing.
\n
• Maintain accurate, detailed, and confidential documentation that adheres to legal and ethical standards, ensuring the integrity and privacy of patient information.

• Participate in case consultations, multidisciplinary team meetings, and professional development activities aimed at enhancing trauma-informed care practices.

• Stay informed about the latest research and advancements in trauma therapy, facilitating continual professional growth and skills enhancement.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary focus of this role is on individuals struggling with issues related to trauma, including post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. You will have the opportunity to work with a diverse group of clients, varying in age and backgrounds, all seeking support in their healing journey.

Qualifications\n

To be considered for this position, candidates must possess:

• A Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited program.

• A current and valid license as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of New Jersey.
\n
• Strong foundational knowledge of trauma-related disorders and familiarity with trauma-informed treatment modalities.
\n
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, complemented by a compassionate, non-judgmental demeanor.

• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and a capacity to adapt to new technology and applications relevant to the practice.

• The ability to thrive in high-stress situations while maintaining composure and decisiveness.

Preferred Experience\n

While 2 years of post-licensure experience in a related field is preferred, candidates with a strong background in trauma-focused therapies and a willingness to learn and grow within the role are encouraged to apply.

Compensation and Benefits\n
