While the main work setting is remote, you may occasionally meet clients in an outpatient office setting depending on their needs and your expertise.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive, trauma-informed assessments to evaluate each patient's unique trauma exposure and mental health history.

• Formulate individualized, actionable treatment plans prioritizing trauma recovery, coping strategies, and resilience-building.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) in both individual and group sessions.

• Facilitate therapeutic group sessions that encourage peer support and shared healing experiences for clients.

• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists, social workers, and other mental health professionals to ensure holistic and integrated care approaches.

• Provide timely crisis interventions and support during acute trauma-related emergencies, ensuring immediate safety and channeling patients toward appropriate resources.

• Educate clients and their families about trauma responses, ways to manage symptoms, and available community resources for more extensive support.

• Maintain meticulous and confidential client records, complying with legal and ethical standards of practice.

• Participate in continuous education programs to remain updated on trauma-informed care practices and strategies.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be providing care to individuals grappling with trauma-related symptoms. The clients served range from children to adults, often reflecting a diverse spectrum of cultural backgrounds and life experiences. You will work closely with patients facing PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. Each case will require your sensitivity, trained insight, and expertise, offering unique therapeutic interventions tailored to the individual’s needs.

Qualifications\n

• Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Active and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in New Jersey.

• Strong foundational knowledge of trauma-related disorders and contemporary trauma-informed treatment methodologies.

• Proficient in delivering trauma-focused therapies and interventions.

• Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills, allowing for a compassionate and non-judgmental therapeutic relationship.

• The ability to maintain composure in high-stress situations and respond to client needs with empathy and understanding.

• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and basic computer applications essential for documentation and communication.

• Capacity to engage collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to ensure the best client outcomes.

Preferred Experience\n

We desire candidates who possess at least two years of post-licensure experience in mental health counseling, particularly those with a background in trauma-informed care. Compensation and Benefits\n
