Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed assessments to gather insights into patients' histories and treatment needs, utilizing standardized diagnostic tools.

• Formulate and implement personalized treatment plans that promote trauma recovery and resilience, integrating evidence-based approaches such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, helping clients process their experiences and develop effective coping strategies.

• Work collaboratively with psychiatrists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate an integrated approach to patient care.

• Provide crisis intervention and immediate support for clients experiencing trauma-related emergencies, ensuring their safety and well-being.

• Educate clients and their families about the nature of trauma responses and coping mechanisms, empowering them with knowledge and resources.

• Maintain comprehensive and confidential documentation in compliance with all applicable legal and ethical standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a mental health therapist at Kanza, you will be primarily focused on assisting individuals affected by various forms of trauma. This includes clients suffering from PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. Your role will be pivotal in facilitating healing for these patients, many of whom may be experiencing the effects of long-term trauma or recent traumatic events. You will be tasked with providing them with tailored therapeutic interventions that encourage recovery and promote overall well-being.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure in New Jersey as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT.

• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience in a mental health setting preferred.

• In-depth understanding of trauma-related disorders, treatment modalities, and recovery-oriented approaches.

• Experience in providing trauma-focused therapeutic interventions.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with a strong capacity to empathize and connect with clients.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary for this role ranges from USD 90,000 to 110,000 annually, reflecting our commitment to rewarding skilled professionals in the mental health field.
