Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate patients’ trauma histories and formulate tailored treatment approaches.

• Develop individualized treatment plans with measurable goals that focus on trauma recovery, resilience-building, and emotional well-being.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to facilitate healing.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, guiding patients in processing trauma, developing effective coping strategies, and enhancing their emotional resilience.

• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic approach to patient care and integrated treatment plans.

• Provide crisis intervention and support in trauma-related emergencies, ensuring patients receive timely assistance during critical moments.

• Educate patients and their families on trauma responses, coping mechanisms, and available resources to foster a supportive healing environment.

• Maintain thorough and confidential documentation of patient interactions in compliance with legal, ethical, and organizational standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on individuals who have experienced trauma, including those dealing with PTSD, complex trauma, and related mental health disorders. It is essential to approach each patient with a trauma-informed lens, recognizing the impact of their experiences on their mental and emotional well-being. You will be instrumental in providing a supportive and non-judgmental environment where patients can feel safe, understood, and empowered to heal.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R in the state of New York.

Compensation and Benefits\n
