As a remote therapist with Stem Psychological Center, you will collaborate with a dynamic and multidisciplinary team dedicated to trauma recovery. Although the role is primarily remote, our outpatient setting allows for a hybrid approach when necessary, where therapists can meet patients face-to-face if desirable. Our company culture focuses on mutual support and professional development, providing a flexible and balanced work schedule from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some flexibility based on patient needs.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough and sensitive trauma-informed assessments to evaluate each patient’s unique history and treatment needs.

• Design and implement individualized treatment plans aimed at trauma recovery and resilience-building, employing innovative therapeutic approaches tailored to each patient.

• Utilize evidence-based interventions, including modalities like Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to facilitate healing and growth.

• Lead both individual and group therapy sessions, guiding patients through trauma processing and the development of effective coping strategies.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists and healthcare professionals to ensure integrated and comprehensive treatment for our patients.

• Respond to crisis situations with promptness and empathy, providing immediate support during trauma-related emergencies.

• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses, effective coping mechanisms, and available resources to foster a support system.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with patients who have experienced significant trauma, including survivors of abuse, neglect, and various traumatic events. Your role is vital in helping individuals navigate their emotional landscapes, enabling them to rebuild their lives and achieve a sense of normalcy and stability.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Current licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of New Jersey is mandatory.

• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience in a mental health setting is preferred.

• Deep understanding of trauma-related disorders and proficient in trauma-informed treatment and resilience-building methodologies.

• Demonstrated experience utilizing trauma-focused therapeutic techniques and interventions.

• Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, coupled with a compassionate and non-judgmental demeanor.

• Ability to maintain composure during high-stress environments and effectively manage crisis situations.

• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and strong computer skills are essential.
