Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct in-depth trauma-informed mental health assessments to ascertain patients' trauma histories and devise personalized treatment plans aimed at fostering recovery.

• Implement targeted therapeutic interventions grounded in best practices, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions designed to assist patients in processing their trauma, developing practical coping strategies, and enhancing their emotional resilience.

• Work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists and other mental health professionals, to deliver integrated care that addresses the holistic needs of clients.

• Provide crisis intervention services when needed, ensuring clients receive support during high-stress situations.

• Educate clients and their families about trauma responses and coping mechanisms, equipping them with tools to understand and navigate their experiences.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your work will primarily focus on clients suffering from trauma-related issues. These may include survivors of abuse, military veterans, and individuals experiencing relationship violence or significant life stressors. You will play a critical role in fostering a therapeutic alliance with clients, providing them with the support and tools necessary for self-discovery and healing.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as LCSW, LPC, LMFT, or PsyD in the state of New Jersey.

• A strong understanding of trauma-related disorders and experience using trauma-informed treatment modalities.
