Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed assessments to evaluate patients' backgrounds and needs, guiding the development of tailored treatment approaches.

• Formulate and implement individualized treatment plans that target trauma recovery and resilience enhancement, integrating evidence-based therapeutic modalities.

• Utilize specialized therapeutic techniques, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to facilitate effective healing.

• Deliver both individual and group therapy sessions, helping patients to process their trauma and develop essential coping strategies for everyday challenges.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists and interdisciplinary team members to ensure holistic and integrated care for clients, addressing all aspects of their mental health journey.

• Provide crisis intervention and support during trauma-related emergencies, offering immediate assistance and guidance to individuals in distress.

• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses, coping mechanisms, and available community resources to empower them in their healing process.

• Maintain thorough and accurate documentation in compliance with legal and ethical guidelines, ensuring the confidentiality of client records.

• Engage in regular case consultations, team meetings, and professional development activities that focus on trauma-informed care practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role focuses on serving a diverse population of trauma survivors, ranging from various age groups and backgrounds. Clients often present with complex trauma histories and may be dealing with conditions such as PTSD, anxiety, depression, and dissociative disorders. Your expertise in trauma-informed therapy will play a vital role in creating pathways for healing and recovery in their lives.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Texas is required.

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience in mental health counseling, particularly in trauma-focused therapy.

• Extensive knowledge of trauma-related disorders, trauma-informed treatment methods, and resilience-building strategies.

• Competency in delivering various trauma-focused therapies and interventions effectively.
\n
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; a compassionate, non-judgmental approach is essential for this role.

• Ability to maintain composure in high-stress situations and provide calm support during crisis moments.

• Proficiency in using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems and other digital communication tools.

• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.

Preferred Experience\n

While a minimum of two years of experience is required, candidates with additional experience in trauma-focused therapies or those who have worked in virtual counseling settings will be highly regarded. Familiarity with community resources and existing support systems for trauma survivors will be beneficial.

Compensation and Benefits\n
