Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations through preliminary interviews, documenting findings accurately from the initial consultation to the conclusion of treatment.

• Assess clients’ mental, behavioral, and emotional health to develop tailored intervention and recovery plans for individuals, couples, families, and groups based on their unique needs.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing a variety of therapeutic modalities to enhance client engagement and outcomes.
\n
• Continuously monitor client progress throughout the treatment journey, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans to ensure optimal recovery.

• Collaborate with a network of healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, nurses, and social workers, to create comprehensive intervention strategies.
\n
• Follow up with medical personnel concerning clients who have been hospitalized, ensuring seamless transitions and continuity of care.

• Identify potential barriers to recovery and actively develop strategies to prevent behaviors that may impede client progress.
\n
• Engage and support family members and primary caregivers in managing mental and behavioral challenges, including guidance on effective communication and coping strategies.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will be working with a diverse client population experiencing a variety of mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance use disorders. Our clinic emphasizes a person-centered approach, ensuring that all clients feel valued, understood, and supported throughout their therapeutic journey.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Texas is essential.

• A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE) is required.

• Previous experience as a mental health counselor, demonstrating a solid foundation in clinical practice and therapeutic techniques.

• Proficiency in using electronic health record systems like AVATAR to enhance the delivery of care and documentation.

Preferred Experience\n

• Understanding of physical and emotional health conditions, including experience in handling clients with addiction disorders is highly desirable.

• Familiarity with American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) best practices and guidelines will be an advantage.

• In-depth knowledge regarding the side effects of psychotropic medications prescribed by physicians adds value to treatment planning.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 80,000 to 100,000, commensurate with experience, and includes a sign-on bonus.
