Work Environment\n

This role is entirely remote, allowing for flexibility and comfort while delivering mental health services. As part of an outpatient office, mental health counselors at Robina utilize cutting-edge telehealth technology to connect with clients, conduct assessments, and engage in therapy sessions. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough initial assessments and document case history from the first interview through the end of treatment, ensuring accurate and complete records.
\n
• Evaluate clients’ mental, behavioral, and emotional health, using standardized tools and assessments to inform treatment decisions.
\n
• Create individualized intervention and recovery plans tailored to the specific needs of individuals, couples, families, and groups.
\n
• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions, implementing evidence-based therapeutic techniques to foster healing and personal growth.
\n
• Monitor client progress throughout the treatment plan, making necessary adjustments based on their feedback and ongoing assessments.
\n
• Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team that may include psychiatrists, social workers, and other mental health professionals to design and coordinate comprehensive care plans.
\n
• Manage referrals when necessary, ensuring clients receive additional support or specialized services to aid their recovery.
\n
• Proactively identify and address behaviors that could hinder recovery, providing education and support to both clients and their families.
\n
• Assist family members and primary caregivers in understanding and managing mental health challenges, fostering a supportive environment for recovery.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our counselors work with a diverse array of clients, including children, adolescents, adults, and families experiencing various mental health challenges. Clients may present with issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship difficulties, and more. The ideal candidate will possess cultural competency to provide empathetic, individualized care that respects each client’s unique background and experiences.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's degree or higher in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of New Jersey.
\n
• Successful completion of the NCE and/or NCMHCE with a passing score.
\n
• Previous experience in a mental health counseling role, demonstrating a solid foundation of clinical expertise.
\n
• Familiarity with electronic health record systems, particularly AVATAR, to efficiently manage client information and treatment documentation.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience in addressing co-occurring physical and emotional health conditions, as well as addiction disorders.

• Knowledge of and commitment to the best practices outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

• In-depth understanding of psychotropic medications and their effects, allowing for insightful discussions with clients regarding their treatment options.
\n
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, enhancing the ability to connect with clients and colleagues effectively.
\n
• A compassionate and empathetic approach toward client interactions, promoting a trusting and safe therapeutic environment.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The annual salary for this position ranges from $80,000 to $100,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications, and includes a generous sign-on bonus.
