Work Environment\n

This position is fully remote, enabling you to connect with patients from the comfort of your own home in Allentown, Pennsylvania, or anywhere within the state. You will work within a telehealth framework that employs secure video conferencing tools and electronic health record (EHR) systems to facilitate comprehensive patient care and documentation. Our team operates on a Monday to Friday schedule from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some degree of schedule flexibility based on patient requirements.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough and trauma-informed mental health assessments involving comprehensive evaluations of clients' trauma histories and the identification of suitable treatment approaches.

• Design and implement customized treatment plans that focus on trauma recovery, resilience building, and adaptive coping strategies.
\n
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic methods, such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to facilitate client healing.

• Lead individual and group therapy sessions, guiding clients through their trauma processing journeys while encouraging the development of effective coping mechanisms.
\n
• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists and other mental health professionals to ensure a cohesive and integrated care approach for patients.
\n
• Provide crisis intervention when necessary, offering urgent support for clients experiencing trauma-related emergencies.
\n
• Educate clients and their families on trauma responses, available resources, and coping techniques to foster understanding and resilience.
\n
• Maintain meticulous and confidential patient documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards, utilizing EHR systems effectively.

• Engage in regular case consultations, interdisciplinary meetings, and professional development opportunities to enhance trauma-informed care practices.

• Stay informed about the latest research developments and best practices in trauma therapy to continuously improve treatment efficacy.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on a diverse client population that includes survivors of trauma, from individuals dealing with PTSD to those experiencing complex trauma and dissociative disorders. Your role is critical in recognizing and validating the unique experiences of each client, providing a safe space for them to explore their emotions, heal, and grow.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid state license as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT is required.
\n
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, exhibiting a compassionate and nonjudgmental demeanor with clients.
\n
• A strong understanding of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment modalities is essential.

• Ability to maintain composure and professionalism in high-stress circumstances.

• Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and other relevant technology.

• A collaborative mindset and willingness to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience in a mental health counseling setting, with a focus on trauma is preferred.

Compensation and Benefits\n
