Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate patients' trauma histories and tailor individualized treatment approaches.

• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans aimed at trauma recovery, resilience-building, and enhancing overall mental health.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic methods such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) during individual and group therapy sessions.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, providing a safe space for clients to process their trauma, develop coping strategies, and promote emotional healing.

• Work collaboratively with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated, holistic care for each patient.

• Provide crisis intervention during traumatic emergencies, ensuring clients receive immediate support and resources.
\n
• Educate clients and families about trauma responses, effective coping mechanisms, and available community resources to enhance support systems.

• Maintain accurate records of treatment and patient interactions in compliance with legal and ethical standards.

• Participate in regular case consultations, team meetings, and professional development activities aimed at improving trauma-informed care practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on clients affected by trauma, including those suffering from PTSD, complex trauma, and various dissociative disorders. You will work closely with individuals from diverse backgrounds, ensuring your approach is culturally competent and responsive to each client’s unique needs and experiences.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Kansas.
\n
• Strong knowledge and understanding of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment modalities.
\n
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, demonstrating a compassionate and non-judgmental demeanor.

• Proficiency in electronic health record systems and familiarity with computer applications related to teletherapy.

• Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a collaborative, multidisciplinary team setting.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience in a mental health counseling setting, preferably focusing on trauma therapy.

Compensation and Benefits\n
