Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct detailed trauma-informed mental health assessments to effectively evaluate clients' trauma histories and determine appropriate therapeutic approaches.

• Develop personalized treatment plans emphasizing trauma recovery and resilience building, documenting progress and adjusting strategies as necessary.

• Provide evidence-based therapies, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), tailored to individual client needs.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, guiding clients in processing their trauma and developing effective coping strategies.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists and interdisciplinary team members to ensure integrated and comprehensive care for our clients.

• Deliver crisis intervention support during emergencies related to trauma, employing immediate and effective therapeutic interventions.

• Educate clients and their families about trauma responses, empowering them with coping mechanisms and local resources available for further support.

• Maintain precise and secure documentation in alignment with legal and ethical standards, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy in client records.

• Participate actively in team meetings, professional workshops, and consultations to enhance the team's knowledge and approach to trauma-informed care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a mental health therapist at Chat and Change Counseling, LLC, you will work primarily with individuals coping with the effects of trauma, including but not limited to PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. Our client base consists of diverse individuals seeking healing and support, and your expertise will be vital in guiding them toward resilience and recovery. Your interventions will not only aid in symptom relief but also contribute to patients’ overall quality of life, as you help them reconceptualize their experiences and pathways to wellness.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid license as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of New Jersey.
\n
• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience in a clinical setting, preferably with a focus on trauma-related disorders.

• In-depth knowledge of trauma-related disorders, trauma-informed treatment modalities, and resilience-building strategies.
\n
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, coupled with a compassionate, non-judgmental approach in dealing with clients.

• Ability to maintain a calm demeanor in high-stress situations.
\n
• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and various computer applications.

• Capacity to work effectively as a member of a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Experience\n

Compensation and Benefits\n
