Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough, trauma-informed assessments to evaluate clients' history and current mental health needs.

• Design and implement personalized treatment plans aimed at trauma recovery and the enhancement of resilience.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) during individual and group therapy sessions.

• Provide crisis intervention services, ensuring immediate support to clients experiencing trauma-related emergencies.

• Educate clients and their families about the nature of trauma responses and coping strategies, fostering understanding and engagement in their healing process.

• Maintain accurate and confidential client records in accordance with ethical and legal guidelines, utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems.

• Participate actively in case consultations and team meetings, contributing insights on trauma-informed care and best practices.

• Engage in continual learning to stay informed about new developments in trauma therapy and mental health care strategies.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The Mental Health Therapist will work closely with a diverse client population experiencing various forms of trauma. This includes individuals with PTSD, complex trauma histories, and dissociative disorders. Qualifications\n

• Must hold a master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Possession of a current and valid therapeutic licensure, such as LCSW, LPC, or LMFT, in the state of New Jersey.

Compensation and Benefits\n
