Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough, trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate patients' trauma histories and determine effective treatment strategies tailored to their unique needs.

• Design and execute individualized treatment plans that focus on trauma recovery and the development of resilience, utilizing various therapeutic frameworks and approaches.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to address the specific needs of patients.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, providing a safe space for patients to process their trauma, develop coping strategies, and embark on their healing journeys.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists and multi-disciplinary team members to deliver integrated care that addresses all aspects of a patient’s health.

• Provide crisis intervention and support during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring the well-being and safety of patients.

• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses, promote effective coping mechanisms, and connect them with additional resources as needed.

• Maintain accurate and confidential documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations and ethical standards, ensuring the integrity of patient information.

• Participate in team meetings, case consultations, and ongoing professional development activities focused on trauma-informed care.

• Stay abreast of the latest research and best practices in the field of trauma therapy, actively integrating new insights into therapeutic practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary focus of your work will be with individuals who have experienced a range of trauma, from acute events to ongoing, complex trauma. Your expertise will help guide these individuals through their healing processes, allowing them to regain a sense of safety and trust in themselves and the world around them.

Qualifications\n

• Must possess a Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in the state of California.
\n
• Strong understanding of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment modalities, particularly those that support resilience building.

• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and active listening skills, demonstrating a compassionate and non-judgmental approach towards all patients.

• Ability to handle high-stress situations with composure and professionalism.
\n
• Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and telehealth technologies to manage patient information and provide remote care.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience in a therapist role focused on trauma therapy is preferred.

• Demonstrated experience with delivering trauma-informed therapies, especially EMDR and TF-CBT.

• Background in working in community health settings or clinics is advantageous.
