Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed assessments to accurately evaluate patients’ backgrounds and devise suitable treatment plans.

• Develop and implement evidence-based individualized treatment plans that prioritize trauma recovery and resilience.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions that employ innovative techniques such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

• Work collaboratively with psychiatrists and other mental health professionals to ensure cohesive and comprehensive patient care.

• Handle crisis situations effectively by providing immediate support during trauma-related emergencies.

• Educate patients and their families on trauma responses, coping strategies, and community resources available to them.

• Maintain accurate, confidential patient documentation while adhering to legal and ethical guidelines.

• Engage in case consultations and attend team meetings to discuss treatment approaches and improve holistic care.

• Stay informed on the latest developments in trauma therapy methods, ensuring the delivery of cutting-edge care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will work primarily with individuals who have been affected by trauma, including those diagnosed with PTSD, complex trauma, and various dissociative disorders. Our clients span a wide demographic, each with unique backgrounds and experiences. They come to us seeking not just therapy but a partner in their quest for healing. Your role as a therapist is crucial in providing a nuanced understanding of their experiences and guiding them through recovery.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R in New York State.

• Proficient in trauma-informed treatment modalities and therapeutic interventions.

• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively in a compassionate manner.

• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems is required.

Preferred Experience\n

• At least 2 years of post-licensure clinical experience working with trauma survivors.

• Experience with evidence-based trauma-focused therapies, including but not limited to EMDR and TF-CBT.

• Ability to maintain composure under pressure and provide effective crisis intervention.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary for this role ranges from USD 90,000 to 110,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
