Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed assessments to evaluate patients' trauma history and determine tailored treatment approaches.

• Design and implement individualized treatment plans that focus on trauma recovery, resilience-building, and addressing co-occurring mental health issues.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), during individual and group therapy sessions.

• Facilitate therapeutic group sessions aimed at helping patients process their trauma and develop effective coping strategies.

• Provide crisis intervention and support during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring timely access to necessary resources.

• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses, therapeutic processes, and coping mechanisms, strengthening their support systems.

• Maintain accurate and confidential records that adhere to legal and ethical documentation standards, using integrated electronic health record (EHR) systems.

• Participate in weekly case consultations, team meetings, and ongoing professional development activities focused on advancing trauma-informed care practices.

• Stay current with the latest research and methodologies in trauma therapy to enhance therapeutic effectiveness.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on individuals affected by various forms of trauma, including but not limited to survivors of abuse, neglect, and critical incidents. You will work closely with clients to help them navigate the complexities of their experiences, fostering healing and resilience through compassionate and individualized care strategies.

Qualifications\n

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Valid licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R in the state of New York.
\n
• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience in a clinical or therapeutic setting, preferably with a focus on trauma and related disorders.

• Proficiency in utilizing trauma-informed therapeutic modalities and interventions.
\n
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a commitment to a non-judgmental, compassionate approach to patient care.

• Ability to manage high-stress situations effectively while ensuring a calm and supportive environment for patients.

• Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems to maintain accurate client documentation.

Compensation and Benefits\n

This position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 90,000 to 110,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
