In this remote role, you will work from the comfort of your home while connecting with patients through secure telehealth platforms. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough, trauma-informed mental health assessments to understand each patient's trauma history and current mental health challenges.

• Design, implement, and modify individualized treatment plans that promote trauma recovery and resilience, incorporating best practices in current mental health research.

• Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), tailoring approaches to each patient's needs.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, employing therapeutic techniques to help patients process their trauma, enhance coping strategies, and engage in emotional healing.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other health professionals to provide coordinated care and develop comprehensive treatment strategies for each patient.
\n
• Provide crisis intervention support as needed, ensuring patients receive immediate assistance during trauma-related emergencies.

• Educate patients and their families on trauma responses, available resources, and effective coping mechanisms to enhance their support system.
\n
• Maintain meticulous and confidential patient records in adherence with legal, ethical, and organizational standards using electronic health record (EHR) systems.

• Participate actively in team consultations and professional development workshops, focusing on trauma-informed care and continuous learning.

• Stay informed about advancements in trauma therapy practices by engaging in ongoing education and research review.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on serving adults and adolescents who have experienced trauma, navigating the complexities of issues such as PTSD, anxiety, and related mental health conditions. You will work closely with trauma survivors, understanding their unique experiences and working collaboratively to rebuild their mental health and resilience.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of New York.

• A strong foundation in trauma-related disorders, treatment modalities, and resilience-building is essential.

• Excellent interpersonal skills that foster a compassionate and non-judgmental approach with clients.

• Proficient in the use of electronic health record systems and digital communication tools.

Preferred Experience\n

• At least 2 years of post-licensure experience focused on trauma-informed care and intervention strategies.

Compensation and Benefits\n
