Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed assessments to understand patients' unique trauma histories and collaborate on effective treatment approaches.

• Deliver a variety of evidence-based interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to promote healing and coping mechanisms.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, guiding patients through their trauma processing and encouraging healthy, adaptive behaviors.

• Work in conjunction with psychiatrists and other mental health professionals to provide integrated care for patients, ensuring all treatment components align effectively.

• Offer crisis intervention services in real-time for patients experiencing trauma-related emergencies, providing immediate support and resources.

• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses and coping strategies, emphasizing empowerment and availability of resources.

• Maintain accurate and confidential patient documentation, adhering to all legal, ethical, and organizational standards.

• Engage in continuous professional development, attending case consultations, team meetings, and keeping updated with research in trauma therapy.

This role primarily focuses on supporting individuals who have experienced traumatic events, including trauma survivors dealing with PTSD, childhood traumas, and complex psychological issues. Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R in the state of New York.

Preferred Experience\n

Compensation and Benefits\n
