Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations through preliminary interviews, documenting client history and treatment progress from the initial consultation to the conclusion of care.

• Assess and evaluate clients' mental, behavioral, and emotional health to identify challenges and formulate treatment strategies.
\n
• Develop tailored intervention and recovery plans for individuals, couples, families, and groups, emphasizing a person-centered approach to care.
\n
• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions, using evidence-based techniques to foster therapeutic growth.
\n
• Monitor client progress meticulously throughout treatment and modify intervention plans based on ongoing assessments.
\n
• Collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, physicians, and social workers, to create cohesive treatment plans.

• Maintain open lines of communication with outpatient and inpatient team members, ensuring continuity of care for clients admitted to hospitals.

• Identify and address behaviors that obstruct client recovery, providing proactive solutions and family support systems.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid license as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of New Jersey.
\n
• A successful score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
\n
• Strong proficiency in electronic health record systems, preferably with AVATAR, ensuring accurate documentation and client management.
\n
• Thorough understanding of the interplay between mental health and underlying physical health conditions.
\n
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to convey complex concepts clearly to clients and their support networks.

• Strong interpersonal skills, coupled with a heartfelt commitment to supporting clients’ mental health needs.

Preferred Experience\n

• Prior experience working as a mental health counselor in clinical settings.
\n
• Familiarity with the best practices outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).
\n
• Experience navigating co-occurring disorders, including addiction and trauma.
\n
• Knowledge of the prescribing practices of psychiatric medications and their psychological impact.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary for this position ranges from USD 80,000 to 100,000 annually, complemented by a competitive benefits package.
