Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough preliminary interviews and assessments, recording detailed case histories from the first consultation to treatment completion to ensure continuity of care.

• Evaluate clients' mental, emotional, and behavioral health, employing diagnostic tools and methodologies to form accurate assessments.
\n
• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans that address the specific needs of individuals, couples, families, and groups, integrating therapeutic techniques tailored to diverse backgrounds.
\n
• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing evidence-based strategies to promote discussion, self-discovery, and healing.
\n
• Monitor client progress against treatment goals, making necessary adjustments based on ongoing evaluation and feedback.
\n
• Collaborate closely with other mental health professionals, including psychiatrists, nurses, and social workers, to coordinate care and enhance treatment efficacy.
\n
• Follow up with medical professionals for clients transitioning to or from inpatient care, ensuring integrated behavioral health support.
\n
• Identify early warning signs of relapse or setbacks in clients' recovery journeys and proactively implement additional support strategies.
\n
• Provide guidance and support to family members and caregivers to help them understand and manage related mental and behavioral health challenges.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will work with a diverse clientele facing a variety of mental health challenges, including anxiety disorders, depression, trauma-related conditions, and adjustment difficulties. Our holistic approach recognizes each client's unique circumstances and the importance of building strong therapeutic alliances to facilitate healing and growth.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's degree or higher in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited program.
\n
• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in New Jersey.

• Successful completion and passing scores on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
\n
• Demonstrated experience working effectively as a mental health counselor or therapist.
\n
• Proficiency in utilizing electronic health record systems like AVATAR to enhance practice efficiency and client documentation.
\n
• Understanding of comorbid physical and mental health conditions, along with experience in treating addiction disorders.
\n
• Familiarity with the best practices established by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).
\n
• Knowledge of the pharmacological effects of medications commonly prescribed in practice.
\n
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a strong ability to convey empathy and understanding.
