This position is fully remote, allowing counselors the flexibility to engage with clients from the comfort of their own homes while still providing the essential support that clients need. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations of clients to develop individualized treatment plans tailored to their unique needs.

• Provide evidence-based counseling and therapy sessions for individuals, couples, and families dealing with a variety of mental health issues, such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship struggles.

• Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of client sessions, progress, and any modifications to treatment plans following established guidelines and compliance standards.
\n
• Actively collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, social workers, and other counselors, to ensure holistic care and continuity of treatment.

• Maintain the highest levels of confidentiality and ethics in accordance with state laws and regulations as well as organizational policies.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will work with a diverse range of clients, including children, adolescents, adults, and families, each navigating different mental health challenges. The counselor's role is critical in ensuring that clients receive tailored interventions that align with their personal experiences and cultural backgrounds, creating an effective therapeutic alliance that encourages openness and growth.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field is required.
\n
• Current state licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in New Jersey is mandatory.
\n
• A minimum of 2 years of direct counseling experience, demonstrating a strong foundation in mental health practices and client engagement.
\n
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to forge strong connections with clients, their families, and multidisciplinary team members.

• A solid understanding of various counseling techniques and methodologies needed to apply in diverse situations.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience with telehealth practices and remote counseling platforms is highly desirable.

• Familiarity with cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and other evidence-based therapies will be an advantage.

• Previous work with culturally diverse populations is beneficial, demonstrating an understanding of, and sensitivity to, different cultural contexts in mental health.

Compensation and Benefits\n
