Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough preliminary interviews with clients, documenting their mental, emotional, and behavioral health from initial consultation to the conclusion of treatment.

• Evaluate clients' mental health conditions and develop individualized intervention and recovery plans, tailored for individuals, couples, families, and groups.
\n
• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions, employing a variety of therapeutic modalities to meet the specific needs of each client.
\n
• Monitor client progress throughout the treatment journey, adjusting approaches as necessary to promote effective outcomes.
\n
• Collaborate with fellow mental health professionals—including psychologists, social workers, and healthcare providers—to devise comprehensive intervention strategies.
\n
• Follow up with psychiatrists and attending physicians for clients who may require hospitalization, ensuring a seamless continuum of care.

• Identify and mitigate any behaviors or barriers that may hinder recovery and overall mental well-being.

• Provide guidance and support to family members and primary caregivers to help them navigate mental and behavioral challenges.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Hidden Paradise Counseling Services, you will work with a diverse population that includes individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, and behavioral disorders. Your role will center on offering personalized care, allowing you to witness firsthand the profound impact that effective counseling can have on improving clients' lives and emotional stability.

Qualifications\n

• Master's degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of New Jersey.
\n
• Successful completion of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
\n
• Previous experience providing mental health counseling, demonstrating a strong background in client-focused therapy.
\n
• Proficiency in using electronic health record systems, particularly AVATAR, to manage client documentation and treatment plans.
\n
• Experience dealing with co-occurring disorders and an understanding of addiction treatment.
\n
• Familiarity with clinical best practices as set forth by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

Compensation and Benefits\n
