Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough, trauma-informed mental health assessments to understand each patient’s trauma history, psychosocial background, and to identify effective treatment approaches.

• Develop, implement, and adapt individualized treatment plans focused on trauma recovery, resilience-building, and achieving personal goals.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to assist patients in processing trauma and developing coping strategies.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, creating a welcoming atmosphere for patients to share their experiences and feelings.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists, psychiatric nurses, and other mental health professionals to ensure patients receive integrated and comprehensive care.

• Provide timely crisis intervention support during trauma-related emergencies, demonstrating acute judgment and empathy.

• Deliver educational resources to patients and their families detailing trauma responses, coping mechanisms, and available local resources to enhance their understanding and support systems.

• Maintain precise and confidential documentation related to patient care, complying with all legal and ethical standards in mental health practices.

• Engage in regular case consultations, team meetings, and targeted continuing education opportunities that focus on trauma-informed care best practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will work with a diverse clientele, with specific emphasis on trauma survivors facing psychological challenges. Your focus will include supporting individuals affected by PTSD, complex trauma, and various dissociative disorders. Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Georgia.

• Strong foundational knowledge of trauma-related disorders and proficiency in trauma-informed care techniques.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with a commitment to patient-centered care.

• Capable of maintaining composure and efficacy in high-stress situations.

• Proficiency in managing electronic health record (EHR) systems and adeptness with relevant computer applications.

• Experience collaborating within multidisciplinary teams to optimize client care.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience is preferred, demonstrating a proven track record in trauma-focused therapy.

Compensation and Benefits\n
