Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive, trauma-informed assessments to understand patients' histories and determine the most suitable treatment strategies.

• Creating individualized treatment plans aimed at trauma recovery, focusing on resilience-building techniques and evidence-based therapeutic approaches.

• Providing targeted therapeutic interventions such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), ensuring each session is tailored to patient needs.

• Facilitating both individual and group therapy sessions, helping clients to process their trauma experiences and develop effective coping strategies.

• Working closely with psychiatrists and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care that addresses the full spectrum of patient needs.

• Delivering crisis intervention support during traumatic events and emergencies, equipped with de-escalation techniques and safety planning.

In this role, you will primarily serve a diverse patient population experiencing a wide array of trauma-related challenges. Qualifications\n

The ideal candidate will possess:

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid license as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in the state of New York.

• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience in a related field.

Compensation and Benefits\n
