Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed assessments to gain insight into patients' histories and determine appropriate therapeutic strategies.

• Strategically develop and implement personalized treatment plans aimed at fostering recovery and enhancing resilience in trauma-affected patients.

• Deliver evidence-based modalities such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) to facilitate effective healing processes.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, guiding patients as they navigate their unique trauma experiences and empowering them with coping skills and strategies for emotional regulation.

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, to provide integrated care, ensuring comprehensive support for our patients.

• Provide crisis intervention as needed, offering immediate support during trauma-related emergencies.

• Educate patients and their families regarding trauma responses, coping mechanisms, and available community resources to enhance their understanding and encourage active participation in their care.

• Maintain precise and confidential documentation in accordance with ethical standards and legal requirements.

• Engage in regular case consultations and team meetings to synchronize treatment efforts and stay informed on the latest research affecting trauma therapy.

• Continuously pursue knowledge in trauma therapy advancements to refine therapeutic practice.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT within the state of New York.

• Strong understanding of trauma-informed treatment approaches and their application in clinical settings.

Preferred Experience\n

Compensation and Benefits\n
