Work Environment\n

This position offers a flexible remote work environment, allowing you to connect with patients without the constraints of a traditional office space. You will predominantly be working from home while maintaining close communication with our multidisciplinary team through virtual meetings and consultations. While Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM serves as the standard schedule, occasional adjustments may be necessary based on patient needs, ensuring that you can support individuals seeking help at their earliest convenience.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments to understand patients' trauma histories and develop tailored treatment strategies.

• Create and implement individualized treatment plans that focus on recovery and resilience-building techniques specific to each patient’s needs.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) to facilitate healing.

• Deliver both individual and group therapy sessions aimed at helping patients process their trauma, establish coping mechanisms, and foster a healing environment.

• Work collaboratively with psychiatrists, primary care providers, and other mental health professionals to guarantee comprehensive and integrated care for patients.

• Provide immediate crisis intervention and ongoing support during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring patient safety and well-being.

• Educate patients and their families about the impacts of trauma, the dynamics of coping mechanisms, and available support resources.

• Maintain accurate and confidential documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations and ethical standards.

• Participate in team meetings, case consultations, and professional development focused on enhancing trauma-informed care strategies.

• Stay informed of the latest research and innovations in trauma therapy to continually improve treatment efficacy.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Emotional Freedom Psychotherapy Services, you will primarily work with an adult patient population that has been affected by various forms of trauma. Many of our clients struggle with PTSD, complex trauma from relational or historical events, and dissociative disorders. Your expertise in trauma-focused therapies will be essential in helping these individuals navigate their healing journeys and build resilience in the face of adversity.

Qualifications\n

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited program.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Georgia.
\n
• Demonstrated knowledge of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment modalities.
\n
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, combined with a compassionate and non-judgmental approach to patient care.

• Strong ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations.
\n
• Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and other clinical documentation tools.

• A commitment to working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience in a clinical mental health setting, preferably focused on trauma and related disorders.
