Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough, trauma-informed assessments to determine patients' mental health conditions and historical trauma experiences.

• Design and execute personalized treatment plans that utilize evidence-based methodologies, supporting clients in their journey toward recovery.

• Implement trauma-focused therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), in individual and group settings.

• Facilitate therapy sessions that foster emotional healing, coping skill development, and resilience among participants.

• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic, integrated care for all clients.

• Provide immediate crisis intervention support to clients facing trauma-related emergencies, ensuring their safety and well-being.

• Guide patients and their families through educational resources related to trauma responses and effective coping strategies.

• Maintain meticulous, confidential client records in compliance with all legal and ethical guidelines, utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems.

• Participate in regular case consultations, contributing to team discussions and continuing professional development on trauma-informed care practices.

• Stay informed on emerging research and best practices in the mental health field, particularly those focused on trauma recovery.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will work primarily with adults and adolescents suffering from various trauma-related disorders, including PTSD and complex trauma. You will approach each client with deep compassion, understanding their unique experiences and fostering a sense of safety and trust as they navigate their healing process.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure in New York as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or similar.

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience in mental health counseling, particularly with trauma-focused therapies.
\n
• Thorough understanding of trauma-informed care, trauma-related disorders, and resilience-based treatment strategies.
\n
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, coupled with a non-judgmental and supportive therapeutic approach.

• Strong crisis management skills and the ability to stay composed in high-stress scenarios.

• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) software and technology-enhanced therapy approaches.

Compensation and Benefits\n
