Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Blomquist Hale Behavioral Health, you will be responsible for the following:

• Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed assessments to evaluate patients' trauma histories, triggers, and needs.

• Develop and implement tailored treatment plans that promote trauma recovery, resilience, and overall mental wellness.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to address trauma-related symptoms.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, fostering a safe space for patients to explore their feelings and formulate effective coping strategies.

• Work collaboratively with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to provide holistic, integrated care for patients.

• Deliver crisis intervention and support when patients experience trauma-related emergencies.
\n
• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses and coping mechanisms while providing information about additional support resources.

• Maintain accurate and confidential documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards.

• Participate in case consultations, team meetings, and external training, enhancing your knowledge of trauma-informed care.

• Stay informed about the latest research and best practices in trauma therapy to continually refine your therapeutic approach.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on working with individuals affected by trauma, particularly those facing post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. You will engage with a diverse clientele, including children, adolescents, and adults, each with unique backgrounds and needs, creating a rich opportunity for growth as a mental health professional.

Qualifications\n

The ideal candidate for this position will meet the following qualifications:

• Possess a Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Hold a current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LCPC, or LMFT in the state of Illinois.

This position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 90,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
