Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed assessments, gathering comprehensive information regarding each patient's background and trauma history to inform treatment planning.

• Design individualized and culturally responsive treatment plans that emphasize resilience-building and trauma recovery.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), tailoring strategies to meet diverse patient needs.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions aimed at helping clients process their trauma and develop effective coping mechanisms.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists, primary care providers, and other professionals to promote holistic and integrated care for our patients.

• Provide timely crisis intervention support during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring that patients feel secure and understood.

• Educate patients and their families on trauma responses and coping strategies to empower them in their healing journey.

• Maintain accurate, confidential documentation in accordance with legal and ethical standards for mental health practice.

• Participate actively in case consultations, team meetings, and professional development sessions with a focus on trauma-informed care.

• Stay informed on current research and methodologies in trauma therapy to continuously enhance your therapeutic strategies.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will be working primarily with individuals who have experienced significant trauma and are struggling with mental health disorders related to their experiences. This includes survivors of abuse, neglect, and traumatic events. Your role will be to provide empathetic and effective therapy tailored to their unique needs, helping them navigate their individual recovery journeys.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Texas.
\n
• Strong knowledge of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment methodologies.
\n
• Familiarity with resilience-building practices and the ability to establish trust with clients from various backgrounds.

• Proficient in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and other applicable computer applications.

Preferred Experience\n

We prefer candidates who have at least two years of post-licensure experience in providing mental health therapy, particularly with traumatized populations. Experience in delivering trauma-focused therapies and interventions will be highly regarded, as will those who have a track record of successful collaboration within multidisciplinary teams.

Compensation and Benefits\n
