Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive, trauma-informed mental health assessments to understand patients' histories and define tailored treatment approaches.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aimed at trauma recovery, focusing on building resilience in patients.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to support patients’ healing processes.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, helping patients process their trauma and develop effective coping strategies.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists, nurses, and other care providers to ensure the delivery of comprehensive, coordinated care.

• Provide immediate crisis intervention and support for patients experiencing trauma-related emergencies.
\n
• Educate patients and their families on trauma responses and available coping mechanisms, aiding in their understanding of the healing journey.

• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in adherence to both legal and ethical standards, utilizing electronic health record systems efficiently.

• Engage in regular case consultations and team meetings, focusing on the continual improvement of trauma-informed care practices.

• Stay informed on the latest research, treatment modalities, and best practices in the field of trauma therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your work will directly benefit individuals who have suffered from traumatic experiences, including but not limited to those dealing with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), complex trauma histories, and dissociative disorders. By providing specialized, trauma-informed care, you are pivotal in helping patients reclaim their lives and foster resilience.

Qualifications\n

• A master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Valid licensure as an LMFT, LPCC, or LCSW in the state of California.

• Demonstrated understanding of trauma-related disorders and awareness of trauma-informed care practices.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a strong foundation in empathy and compassion.

• A proactive approach to maintaining composure in high-stress scenarios.

• Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems for documentation and case management.

Preferred Experience\n

• At least 2 years of post-licensure clinical experience in a mental health or counseling setting.

Compensation and Benefits\n
