Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed assessments to evaluate patients’ trauma histories and develop tailored treatment plans that promote recovery and resilience.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), ensuring that the delivery aligns with current best practices.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions aimed at helping clients process their trauma, build coping strategies, and foster a sense of healing.

• Engage in active collaboration with psychiatrists, medical professionals, and support staff to provide comprehensive, integrated care for our patients.

• Provide crisis intervention support during emergencies related to trauma, helping to stabilize patients in distressing situations.

• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses, coping mechanisms, and available community resources to enhance their understanding and support network.

• Maintain accurate and confidential records in compliance with legal, ethical, and organizational standards, ensuring patient privacy and security.

• Participate in regular case consultations, team meetings, and professional development activities to continuously improve knowledge and skills in trauma-informed care.

• Stay informed of the latest research and advancements in trauma therapy, applying new insights to enhance treatment strategies.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will work primarily with individuals who have experienced complex trauma, including refugees, domestic violence survivors, and individuals coping with various types of abuse. Our goal is to create an inclusive and supportive environment that allows each client to feel seen and heard, facilitating their journey toward healing. We are particularly focused on building resilience amongst our clients and tailoring our services to meet their specific cultural and personal needs.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or doctoral degree in fields such as Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited entity.

• Valid licensure as an LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker), LPCC (Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor), or LMFT (Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist) in the state of California.

• A minimum of two years post-licensure experience, demonstrating proficiency in trauma-focused therapeutic practices.

Compensation and Benefits\n
