The Recovery Mind Counseling Center is actively seeking a dedicated and passionate Licensed Trauma-Focused Mental Health Counselor to join our team as a full-time mental health professional. In this role, you will provide specialized therapeutic services to individuals dealing with trauma-related issues, including post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and complex trauma. Work Environment\n

This role is remote, providing you with the flexibility to work from a home office while maintaining a structured connection to our outpatient clinic and team members. We operate Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some flexibility in scheduling required to accommodate patient needs. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate patients' trauma histories and identify the most effective treatment approaches.

• Develop, implement, and regularly update individualized treatment plans aimed at enhancing trauma recovery and building resilience.
\n
• Utilize evidence-based therapy modalities, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to guide your therapeutic interventions.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, allowing patients to process their trauma experiences and develop effective coping strategies.
\n
• Work in close collaboration with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic approach to patient care.

• Provide crisis intervention support during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring that patients receive timely assistance during critical moments.
\n
• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses, coping strategies, and available community resources, empowering them in their recovery journeys.
\n
• Maintain accurate and confidential patient documentation that complies with legal and ethical standards.
\n
• Participate in regular case consultations, team meetings, and training sessions to enhance your skills in trauma-informed care.

• Stay abreast of the latest research and best practices in trauma therapy, integrating new knowledge into your clinical practice.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary population you will work with includes individuals of all ages impacted by trauma. This includes survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, childhood abuse, and other traumatic events. Your role will focus on providing a safe and empathetic therapeutic space where patients can address their challenges and work towards recovery.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPCC, Psychologist, or LMFT within the state of California.
\n
• Minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience preferred, with a strong emphasis on trauma-related disorders.
\n
• In-depth knowledge of trauma-focused treatment modalities and evidence-based interventions.
\n
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, characterized by a compassionate and non-judgmental demeanor.

Preferred Experience\n

• Hands-on experience in delivering trauma-focused therapy techniques preferred.

• Ability to remain calm and composed during high-stress situations.

• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and proficiency in relevant computer applications.

Compensation and Benefits\n
