Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, you will:

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments to identify trauma history and formulate appropriate treatment plans.

• Develop and manage individualized treatment plans centered on trauma recovery and resilience cultivation.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to provide effective treatment.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, assisting patients in processing their trauma and acquiring vital coping strategies.

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists and other mental health professionals, to ensure integrated and comprehensive patient care.

• Assess and provide crisis intervention for patients experiencing trauma-related emergencies.
\n
• Educate patients and their families about trauma impacts, coping strategies, and available community resources.

• Document all patient interactions accurately, ensuring compliance with ethical and legal standards.

• Engage in regular case consultations, team meetings, and continuous education related to trauma-informed care best practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will work primarily with individuals who have experienced significant trauma, including survivors of abuse, violence, or natural disasters. This role requires sensitivity and expertise in addressing the complexities of trauma reactions and the associated mental health issues.

Qualifications\n

Prospective candidates must possess the following:

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Georgia.

• Strong understanding of trauma-informed principles and treatment methodologies.

Preferred Experience\n
