Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed assessments to gauge patients' trauma histories and determine suitable therapeutic approaches.

• Develop and implement tailored treatment plans that focus on recovery and resilience-building, utilizing evidence-based methods for maximum effectiveness.

• Provide individualized and group therapy sessions aimed at processing trauma, overcoming barriers, and equipping patients with coping strategies.

• Utilize trauma-focused modalities such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

• Offer crisis intervention and ongoing support during trauma-related emergencies, collaborating closely with the care team to deliver prompt assistance.

• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses, fostering understanding and healthy coping mechanisms through effective communication.

• Maintain accurate, confidential, and compliant documentation according to legal and ethical standards.

• Contribute to case discussions, team meetings, and training initiatives focused on enhancing trauma-informed practices across the organization.

• Stay current with best practices and research findings in trauma therapy to continually enhance the efficacy of care delivered.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on patients who have experienced trauma and struggle with PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. You will engage with diverse individuals, ensuring each person feels heard, respected, and understood. Your empathetic approach will be key in cultivating a safe and welcoming space for clients to navigate their recovery.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited academic institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R in the state of New York.

• 2 years of post-licensure experience preferred, with a strong emphasis on trauma-informed care and evidence-based therapeutic interventions.

• In-depth knowledge of trauma-related disorders and demonstrated experience delivering trauma-focused therapies.

• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills, with a compassionate and non-judgmental approach.

• Proficiency in EHR systems and ability to adapt to remote working tools effectively.

• Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment, demonstrating a commitment to shared patient care goals.

Preferred Experience\n
