Get Well Counseling Center, located in the heart of Eugene, Oregon, is actively seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Therapist to join our team. In this full-time remote position, you will be tasked with providing high-quality mental health counseling focused on trauma recovery. Your expertise will play a crucial role in helping individuals navigate their unique challenges, specifically those impacted by trauma.

Work Environment\n

This role offers flexibility with a fully remote work setting, which empowers you to manage your schedule effectively while maintaining a healthy work-life balance. The position requires a reliable internet connection and proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems—tools critical for documentation and communication. Your workweek will be primarily Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some schedule modifications necessary to meet patient needs.

Key Responsibilities\n

  Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate patients’ trauma histories and craft tailored treatment strategies.

  Design and implement individualized treatment plans aimed at facilitating trauma recovery and fostering resilience in clients.

  Administer evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), effectively addressing clients' specific needs.

  Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, providing an empathetic space for patients to process their trauma and develop effective coping strategies.

  Collaborate with psychiatrists and a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive and integrated patient care.

  Provide crisis intervention support during trauma-related emergencies and help guide clients through acute distress.

  Educate clients and their families on trauma responses, coping mechanisms, and resources available for further support.

  Ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards by maintaining accurate and confidential documentation throughout the treatment process.

  Participate actively in case consultations, team meetings, and ongoing professional development activities focused on trauma-informed practices.

  Keep abreast of the latest research, trends, and best practices in trauma therapy to continuously enhance your skills and therapeutic techniques.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on individuals who have experienced significant trauma, including survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and those coping with the aftereffects of childhood adversity. Our clientele may also include individuals suffering from complex trauma and related disorders, necessitating a sensitive and adaptable therapeutic approach.

Qualifications\n

  Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

  Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Oregon.

  Proven expertise with at least 2 years of post-licensure experience preferred.

  A solid understanding of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment methodologies.

  Demonstrated experience using trauma-focused therapies and interventions effectively.

\n
• \n

  Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a compassionate, non-judgmental approach to therapy.

  Ability to manage high-stress situations calmly and effectively.

\n
• \n

  Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and general computer applications.

  Capability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Experience\n

While a minimum of two years of practical, post-licensure experience is required, candidates with a background in multiple trauma-informed therapies and strong familiarity with resilience-building techniques will find themselves to be preferred. Additional certifications in trauma interventions, such as EMDR certification, may also be advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits\n
