Work Environment\n

This position offers the convenience of a fully remote work setting, enabling therapists to support clients from the comfort of their home office. Working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, you will connect virtually with colleagues to discuss client progress, share insights, and enhance treatment strategies. Though your main hours will fall on weekdays from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, there may be occasional flexibility required to meet the needs of your clients.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed assessments that evaluate clients’ trauma histories and identify effective treatment modalities.

• Design and implement personalized treatment plans aimed at achieving trauma recovery and enhancing resilience in clients.
\n
• Utilize evidence-based interventions such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) in therapy sessions.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy, focusing on emotional processing, coping mechanisms, and facilitating supportive dialogue.
\n
• Engage in crisis intervention during high-stress situations, providing immediate support and guidance to clients in need.
\n
• Educate clients and their families about the effects of trauma, coping strategies, and community resources available for additional support.
\n
• Maintain up-to-date and accurate client documentation that adheres to legal and ethical standards, utilizing our electronic health record (EHR) systems.
\n
• Participate actively in case consultations, team meetings, and ongoing professional development to enhance trauma-informed care practices.
\n
• Stay informed about the latest trends and research in trauma therapy to continuously improve service delivery and outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary focus of this role will be working with individuals who have experienced trauma, including but not limited to those dealing with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. You will have the opportunity to positively impact the healing journeys of these clients, helping them to rebuild their lives and cope with challenging experiences.

Qualifications\n

• A master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Illinois.

• A firm foundation in trauma-related disorders and an understanding of trauma-informed treatment practices.
\n
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrating a compassionate approach when engaging with clients.
\n
• The capability to remain calm and empathetic in high-stress situations, providing crucial support when needed.

Preferred Experience\n

• At least 2 years of post-licensure experience in a mental health counseling setting, specifically focusing on trauma therapy.

• Prior experience with trauma-focused therapeutic approaches and interventions.
\n
• Proficiency in using electronic health record systems and related technological tools.
\n
• Ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team setting.

Compensation and Benefits\n
