Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct initial assessments and evaluations to identify patients' mental health needs and concerns.

• Develop and implement customized treatment plans based on individual assessments and ongoing evaluations.

• Engage in regular one-on-one sessions with trauma patients to provide therapy, counsel, and coping strategies.

• Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting treatment plans and therapeutic approaches accordingly.

• Utilize and educate patients on evidence-based stress and trauma coping mechanisms.
\n
• Coordinate with healthcare providers, community resources, and social agencies to facilitate comprehensive patient care.

• Continue professional development through ongoing education and training to maintain National Certified Counselor certification.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will primarily focus on supporting trauma injury patients, who often face significant emotional and psychological challenges. Recognizing the unique experiences and needs of each patient, you will utilize a trauma-informed perspective to create a safe and nurturing environment conducive to healing. Your clinical expertise will be critical in guiding patients through their recovery journeys.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling or a closely related field.

• Current and valid Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) license.

• Minimum of three years of experience working with trauma patients, demonstrating proficiency in therapeutic techniques.

• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with electronic medical records (EMR).

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively engage with patients and colleagues.

• Demonstrated ability to work in a telehealth setting and familiarity with online counseling platforms.

• Knowledge of advanced therapeutic modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) or Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).

Compensation and Benefits\n
