Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed mental health assessments to analyze patients' trauma histories and craft targeted treatment approaches.

• Develop, implement, and regularly update individualized treatment plans that prioritize trauma recovery and the enhancement of resilience skills.

• Utilize evidence-based interventions such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) to facilitate client healing.

• Lead both individual and group therapy sessions, guiding clients through processes to understand and cope with their trauma.
\n
• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to provide integrated care approaches tailored to patients' unique needs.

• Offer crisis intervention strategies and immediate support during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring clients are safe and adequately cared for.

• Educate clients and their families on trauma responses, coping mechanisms, and the various resources available to them.

• Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation in accordance with legal and ethical guidelines, ensuring safeguards of patient information.

• Participate in team meetings, case consultations, and continuing education initiatives focused on trauma-informed care and practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will primarily serve individuals grappling with trauma-related conditions, including PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. Your work will play a crucial role in guiding trauma survivors toward recovery and empowering them with the tools necessary for their healing journey. Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of New Jersey.

• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience working in mental health, with a focus on trauma therapy preferred.

• Thorough understanding of trauma-related disorders and familiarity with trauma-informed treatment practices.

• Competence in delivering therapeutic interventions such as EMDR and TF-CBT effectively and sensitively.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrating a compassionate and non-judgmental approach to therapy.

• Capacity to remain calm and composed under pressure, managing high-stress situations with professionalism.

• Proficient with electronic health record (EHR) systems and common computer applications to maintain documentation and track patient progress.

Compensation and Benefits\n
