Work Environment\n

This role is designed to be fully remote, which allows you to provide therapeutic services from the comfort of your own home while still engaging with a dynamic and supportive virtual team. Our organization promotes a flexible work culture; however, some scheduling adjustments may be required based on client needs. The typical work schedule for this position is Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct trauma-informed assessments to assess clients' mental health and trauma histories, leading to tailored treatment planning.

• Develop, implement, and monitor personalized treatment plans that prioritize trauma recovery and enhance resilience.

• Deliver high-quality therapeutic interventions utilizing evidence-based practices, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions to assist clients in processing trauma, improve coping strategies, and encourage emotional healing.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other healthcare professionals to offer integrated care for clients, ensuring all aspects of their wellbeing are addressed.

• Provide immediate crisis intervention and therapeutic support during emergencies related to trauma, ensuring clients feel safe and secure.
\n
• Educate clients and their families about trauma responses and coping strategies while connecting them with available community resources.
\n
• Maintain meticulous documentation in compliance with ethical standards and federal regulations, ensuring client confidentiality is upheld.

• Participate actively in case consultations, team meetings, and ongoing professional development focused on trauma-informed care methodologies.

• Stay informed about the latest research and best practices in the field of trauma therapy to enhance treatment efficacy.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary clientele will consist of trauma survivors, including those experiencing PTSD, complex trauma, and related mental health conditions. You will be instrumental in supporting these individuals as they navigate their recovery journeys, fostering an environment of trust and safety. Your empathetic and non-judgmental approach will be vital in guiding patients toward healing and personal growth.

Qualifications\n

• A master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of New Jersey.

• A strong foundational knowledge of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment modalities.

• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and relevant computer applications.

• Excellent interpersonal communication skills that foster a compassionate, supportive client relationship.

Preferred Experience\n

• At least 2 years of post-licensure experience providing mental health counseling, preferably in trauma-focused settings.
