Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Conducting thorough trauma-informed assessments to explore patients' histories and inform individualized treatment plans.

• Designing personalized therapy strategies centered on trauma recovery, resilience enhancement, and comprehensive healing approaches.

• Utilizing evidence-based therapeutic models, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to assist clients in processing their experiences.

• Facilitating both individual and group therapy sessions, focusing on trauma processing, emotion regulation, and coping strategies to aid patients during their recovery journey.

• Collaborating with psychiatrists and other mental health professionals to create a holistic and interconnected care approach.
\n
• Providing crisis intervention services during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring immediate support for clients in need.
\n
• Equipping patients and their families with educational resources regarding trauma responses, coping mechanisms, and available support systems.

• Maintaining comprehensive and accurate documentation to meet legal and ethical standards, utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems effectively.

• Participating in continuous professional development and team meetings focused on trauma-informed care practices and developments.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your work will focus on a diverse population of trauma survivors, including individuals experiencing PTSD, complex trauma histories, and related disorders. Many clients may come from marginalized communities, requiring a culturally competent approach tailored to their unique needs and backgrounds. The therapeutic relationship you establish will be vital in empowering them towards recovery and personal growth.

Qualifications\n

To be considered for this position, you must possess:

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• An active state license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).

• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience in a clinical setting, preferably specializing in trauma-informed care.

• In-depth understanding of trauma-related disorders and evidence-based treatment methodologies.
\n
• Strong interpersonal skills, demonstrating empathy, confidentiality, and a non-judgmental approach.

• The ability to thrive in high-pressure scenarios, maintaining resilience and professionalism.

Compensation and Benefits\n
