Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct in-depth trauma-informed assessments to identify clients' specific needs and create tailored treatment plans.

• Implement evidence-based therapy techniques such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) to facilitate healing.

• Lead both individual and group therapy sessions aimed at helping clients process trauma and develop effective coping strategies.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to provide integrated, holistic care.

• Offer support and crisis intervention during emergencies related to trauma.

• Educate clients and their families about trauma responses and encourage the use of coping resources.

• Maintain comprehensive documentation in compliance with legal requirements and ethical standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The ideal candidate will work primarily with individuals grappling with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. Our patient population is diverse, requiring sensitivity and a tailored approach to treatment based on individual backgrounds and experiences. You will play a crucial role in helping clients navigate their recovery journey by providing compassionate, informed support.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of New Jersey.

• Strong knowledge of trauma-related conditions and trauma-informed treatment methods.

• Exceptional communication skills and the ability to connect with clients compassionately.

Preferred Experience\n

A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience in the mental health field is preferred, with a focus on trauma and its impact on mental health. Experience in delivering group therapy sessions and familiarity with evidence-based trauma interventions will be highly valued.

Compensation and Benefits\n

Calm in Motion Counseling Services offers a competitive salary range of $90,000 to $110,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
