The Outlet Youth & Family Support Counseling Center is inviting applications for a full-time Licensed Mental Health Therapist. In this critical role, you will provide trauma-informed care to individuals and families affected by psychological distress and trauma. Work Environment\n

This position is primarily remote, allowing for flexibility while still providing essential mental health services through our outpatient office. The standard work schedule is Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some potential for flexible scheduling to meet varying patient needs. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate clients’ histories and needs, ensuring a tailored approach to treatment.

• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans focused on trauma recovery using a combination of evidence-based therapeutic techniques.

• Provide a range of therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to facilitate effective healing.

• Lead individual and group therapy sessions, fostering environments where clients can share experiences, develop coping mechanisms, and promote emotional healing.

• Work closely with psychiatrists and other health professionals to ensure integrative care, promoting holistic treatment pathways for patients.

• Deliver crisis intervention support for clients experiencing trauma-related emergencies, acting as a stabilizing presence during times of heightened distress.

• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses, effective coping strategies, and the resources available within our organization and the wider community.

• Maintain accurate, confidential documentation in accordance with legal and ethical standards, supporting optimal patient care and accountability.

• Participate in case consultations, team meetings, and continuing education activities focusing on trauma-informed practices and methodologies.

• Stay informed on the latest research and best practices in trauma therapy to continuously enhance your therapeutic skills and effectiveness.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a member of our therapeutic team, you will work primarily with individuals and families affected by varying degrees of trauma. Our clients experience challenges such as PTSD and complex trauma, necessitating a sensitive and informed approach. Qualifications\n

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and active licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of New Jersey.

• Demonstrated knowledge of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed care practices.
\n
• Strong interpersonal skills, exhibiting a compassionate and non-judgmental approach to clinical work.

• Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and relevant technological applications.

Preferred Experience\n

Compensation and Benefits\n
