Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed assessments to understand patients' narratives and trauma histories.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aimed at facilitating trauma recovery and resilience.

• Utilize evidence-based therapies such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) in individual and group sessions.

• Provide crisis intervention and emotional support during trauma-related emergencies, utilizing de-escalation techniques and resources.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and integrated care for each patient.

• Educate clients and their families on trauma responses, coping strategies, and community support resources for optimal recovery.

• Maintain thorough and confidential patient documentation following all legal and ethical guidelines.

• Engage in regular case consultations and professional development activities focused on trauma-informed practices.

• Stay abreast of the latest research and methodologies in trauma therapy to continuously enhance treatment effectiveness.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our clients at Stem Psychological Center predominantly consist of individuals navigating the complex effects of trauma. Many of our patients are survivors of significant life events that affect their mental health, growth, and daily functioning. As a Licensed Mental Health Therapist, you will play a vital role in helping these individuals process their challenges, develop coping mechanisms, and achieve healing through tailored therapeutic interventions.

Qualifications\n

• Possession of a Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of New Jersey.

• At least 2 years of post-licensure experience in providing mental health care, ideally with a focus on trauma.

• Strong understanding of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment modalities.

• Proficient in electronic health record (EHR) systems and relevant software applications.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, demonstrating empathy and a non-judgmental approach in all interactions.
